All in all, Bettie Bee was a healthy kitty, but her two mouths made nursing a challenge.
The kitten's owner knew she had to find someone else to take care of her, and eventually got in touch with an experienced rescuer who was no stranger to raising special needs cats.

“She was born on 12 December and I went to fetch her the very next morning,” the anonymous rescuer told The Dodo.
She was then disheartened to learn that Bettie Bee might not have been able to survive—animals with this condition are expected to die in the womb or soon after birth. I took her to the vet that day and his first opinion was to put her down. But she was, at one-day-old then, very feisty. We wanted to give her a chance."

Thankfully, Bettie Bee overcame initial feeding problems with a tube and can now eat with her two mouths.
"She's been thriving," her caretaker said. On top of that, she now has a large social media following.
